I am a copy-editor and proofreader with ten years experience in the corporate, voluntary and public sectors. Working with businesses and students, I provide a comprehensive proofreading and editing service tailored to meet each client’s individual needs.

 

I can help with business documents, such as: corporate magazines or other marketing or promotional materials. I also work on academic documents, such as: PhD theses, dissertations, essays, reports, CVs, and covering letters.

As a published author who has edited a recently launched anthology of creative writing, I can help with work of this type, from book-length manuscripts to shorter fiction and poetry. 

 

My services include full copy-editing as well as proofreading – correcting grammatical errors (particularly punctuation) and rephrasing awkward sentences, as well as removing typos and formatting errors; I also comment on the content and structure of each piece. I use track changes and comments so that clients can incorporate my suggestions as they see fit.

 

I work very quickly, allowing my clients to gain value for money, and aim to provide a 24-hour express service for written content of fewer than 5,000 words; a free sample is provided for work of over 30,000 words. My rates are inexpensive and include student and charity discounts.

About me 

 

 

I have a BA in English Literature from the University of Warwick, an MA in American Literature from the University of Sheffield, and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. I have provided marketing, copy-writing, copy-editing and proofreading services to numerous organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors, from a global engineering company to a leading girls’ independent school to a national charity. As a fiction writer, I have had work published both online and in print. I live in Sussex, but work with clients from all over the world.
